Iced Tea Recipes

Whether brewed in a pitcher or mixed with ice cubes afterward, iced tea is always refreshing-a summertime favorite. Here are 2 delicious recipes that will get your creative juices flowing-feel free to mix and match flavors to find your perfect brew!

1. French iced tea

This French-style tea is a delicious iced tea that goes well with most meals. The tarragon and lemongrass add a terrific flavor to the mix! It will be ready in about 20 minutes, so you can enjoy a cold glass of iced tea whenever you want.


6-8 oz. of water

6 Tbsp. loose black tea or 3 teabags (your preference)

1.5 tsp. dried tarragon leaves and/or 1 tsp. fresh tarragon

2-inch piece of fresh lemongrass (trim root) or 1 tsp. dried lemongrass

Directions: Place everything into your teapot or large thermos and steep for 15-20 minutes. When ready to serve, strain the tea into tall glasses filled with ice cubes.

2. Iced hibiscus tea

Hibiscus flowers are also known as red sorrel which is a flower used as a food coloring in some foods. A cup of this spicy iced tea will fill you up and satisfy your thirst. It’s a delicious drink that goes well with breakfast, lunch, or dinner.


8 -10 oz. of water

1 Tbsp. loose hibiscus flowers plus a few extra to garnish (optional)

2 tsp. butter or cream cheese softened to room temperature

Directions: Place everything into your teapot or large thermos and steep for 10-15 minutes at room temperature, then place in the refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve, pour into tall glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a hibiscus flower if desired.
